Unprecedented volume of FDI investments in 2023

The Economic Development Board announced that Bahrain has attracted an unprecedented volume of foreign direct investments in 2023, amounting to 6.8 billion US dollars.

The information available on the Bahrain Open Data Portal shows that the flow of foreign investments into the non-financial sectors did not exceed US $229 million, compared to an exit of US $476 million, and that foreign acquisitions in the financial and insurance sector amounted to US $7 billion.
